whats that little silver canister thingy people use when they make martinis or something?
ITS CALLED A SHAKER.
It is a three part object.
The body is where the ice and liquid is put. The strainer goes on next, then the cap.
It is used to mix and chill drinks. After mixing you can pour a bit into the cap and give it a taste test. For drinks in a martini glass the cap is removed and the strainer is used to hold bax the ice.
i use it for drinks that have ice in them just to mix them really well and chill them down. Cold cocktails are the best. If its in a rocks glass I remove to strainer and cap and pour the mix and ice into a glass in one shot.
The drink is mixed when the outside gets too cold to hold.
Dont put anything carbonated in the shaker when making drinks because the hole thing wil explode. This can be a fun gag if you dont mind the mess.
